The following items are typical critical needs immediately post-disaster:
Non-perishable, ready-to-eat food items, Water, Ice
(Non-Perishable food items include Meals Ready to Eat [MREs], Peanut Butter, Granola Bars, pop-top canned food items, cereal, or any non-perishable foods that can be opened and consumed with out the aid of a can opener or other utensils.)
Important Notice on Used Clothing and Other Household Items/In Kind Donations
Please contact your local Florida Goodwill Store to make donations to assist disaster victims. Donations of clothing and other household goods in good condition can be made at any Florida Goodwill Store and will be taken to victims in need or turned into cash to help disaster survivors recover.
Through an agreement with Volunteer Florida, the Florida Goodwill Association is a partner in State Emergency Response and is committed to assisting disaster survivors. Donations made locally will assist survivors throughout the State. Go to www.goodwill.org to find a store near you.
