Volunteer Management Training Offered at NO COST to Local Organizations!

The Volunteer Management Training Series (VMTS) is a high quality, comprehensive one-day course in volunteer management designed to strengthen agencies that serve Escambia County. The curriculum, developed by HandsOn Network and enhanced by Florida Association for Volunteer Resource Management (FAVRM), is based on research and effective practices. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism (Volunteer Florida).
The VMTS course consists of 6 modules that will be presented in a one day, interactive workshop. Participant’s knowledge, skills and abilities will be developed or enhanced in the areas of:
- Understanding Volunteering
- Planning a Volunteer Program
- Recruiting Volunteers of All Ages
- Effectively Engaging Volunteers
- Supervising Volunteers
- Retaining Volunteers
The One Day Basic VTMS Course will be hosted by United Way of Escambia County, 1301 W Government Street, Pensacola.
*Due to popular demand, the location of the training site for August 11 and August 20 will be at the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, located at 11 N B. Street, Pensacola.

- Wednesday, August 11: 9AM - 2PM *NEW LOCATION: Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, located at 11 N B. Street, Pensacola
- Friday, August 20: 12PM - 5PM *NEW LOCATION: Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, located at 11 N B. Street, Pensacola
- Saturday, August 21: 10AM -3PM
- Tuesday, August 24: 12PM -5PM

A two hour, advanced Volunteer Management training module, designed for experienced Volunteer Coordinators, will be offered at no cost on Monday, August 23: 10 AM – 12 PM.
